R.I.P GAFF

I do not want to talk bad about the audio workshop but I didn't feel I learnt anything new. It was a rehash of what we have already learnt and a refresher. None of which I remember now sitting here. I learnt the magic arm is a very cool thing and that trying to record a gunshot without it peaking is a struggle.

We will use a lapel system and simple boom setup for our recordist as its a primarily dialogue driven film. Pat is our sound recordist and we only met him on the set of the production. There are a bunch of sound issues in our script, but they mostly revolve around our location, eg the sound of air conditioners and fridges whining in the background.

Greenlighting was easy peasy. We got greenlighted straight away because Production was all over this shit since day one and everyone has been working super hard. We were ready to shoot, I wish we weren't because of how Cain turned out but I digress. Sam was struggling at this point with creative control and with Jordan. I don't blame Jordan at all and I've mentioned this to both but Jordan was so passionate about this project and I felt like Sam didn't take any creative control. She needed to be way more sure of herself and her decisions and then maybe it wouldn't have been so too and fro. Jordan saw there was a gap that needed filling and he filled it. That gap just happened to be where Sam should have been.
